Shimmering coffee table Sculpture

This coffee table if full of many layers of resin, acrylic paint, and a multitude of various colored mica powders. From a distance the top can look like a swirl of clouds, but as you get closer, the details and layers are mesmerizing. Like a kaleidoscope, each time you look at the piece, you will notice something different. This upcycled oval glass top table is 46” long and 28” wide and stands 21” tall. It has metal hollow legs and a black plastic shelf underneath. This was a complex project that took months for things to finally come together. I tried to capture the dynamic flow and harmony of the creative process itself. I hope the viewer enjoys the constantly changing patterns that are revealed as lighting shifts and angles change. If we can have the courage see the world from a new perspective, life becomes fresh, bold and more beautiful. Dymanic flow and harmony
