About The Artwork

Acrylic on wood, Driftwood and aluminum in a old wooden frame. The old religious icon images are full of gold. I found the contrast between the gold and the driftwood so beautiful.

1980 Born in Koblenz/Germany Job painter and Occupational therapist Painting is my way of thinking. For me it is a departure from reality. If I had to describe my style, I would describe it expressionstic, playful, experimental and dirty. My favorite techniques are painting with acrylic. I study the works from the old masters and all kinds of art too. I study the painting techniques and the painting history autodidactically. For me, the process of creating is more important than the result. Most ideas come directly from my subconscious mind. This makes the creative process very exciting for me. I am a constant searcher of new ways. My favourite painters are Peter Doig, Daniel Richter, Neo Rauch and all the old german expressionistic painters. My favorite old master of painting is Edvard Munch. Stefan Kibellus
