The human skull. I’ve always been fascinated that God has created such a hard shell to protect such a delicate organ. Here is my human skull study I had done originally in Chavant oil clay, then I created a silicone mould, cast with a high quality resin, painted and placed in a shadow box.

The shadow box does not contain glass and has 2 hooks on the back for hanging or the shadow box itself is sturdy enough to have it be displayed on a shelf.

I have signed the back of the shadow box.

Hello! My name is Toby Larson and I’ve always been involved with art in some capacity all my life. It was 1992 and I was a junior in high school that was getting burnt out with all the typical art, drawing, painting, photography etc. One day, I asked my art teacher if there was something else. He told me he would think about it, and a few days later, he brought me a chunk of oil based clay and that was it! I took to sculpting like a duck takes to water and I’ve never gone back! I have learned to sculpt, create silicone molds of my work, cast them in resin and/or wax. Each piece that I create is unique in that the paints and finishes will be different and no two pieces are the same. I take great pride in the quality of my work to ensure that you are receiving something special. I do mostly resin work, but have recently started to create bronze work with a local foundry in Eugene, Oregon.
