Space Time Cheekers 01 Sculpture

This piece of wall art is of a warped and curved cheeker board. Space Time can be warped and curved, although we can’t really experience this, it has to be observed on a massive astronomical scale. The idea behind this series of 5 artworks was to explore how it would be to play a game of cheekers in this warped space. How would the pieces and board look when Space Time goes through a server twist and turn? The artworks are made by creating the cheeker board graphic in Illustrator. I then glued it onto a wooden bored before the cheekers pieces were finally glued in place. The artworks have picture hooks to allow them to be hung from the wall.
