About The Artwork
This object, Steak, was created from a slice of log cut on a band saw. As I cut it, (intending it for a different sculpture), I realized how much it reminded me of a hunk of meat. As I have a background in textile design besides sculpture, I have an excellent ability to match colors. I bought a steak and copied the meat and fat. It needed more, so I inset the socket. This piece combines pseudo-flesh from a tree with man-made technology.
