I have created art all my life . From a very early age I loved to draw, it was the only thing i excelled at. My education did nothing to encourage my creative urge. After dropping out of high school I entered a school for graphic design. On graduating i worked as a designer/illustrator for thirty years. In the late 80s I held a position as one of Australia's top 10 illustrators..Some people in the heady art world snub there noses at artist who have a commercial art background however, I am an artist and it has been my passion all my life. No higher education art college or what ever can gift me with that creative passion that God gave me. If a collector /investor purchased my work that would be great but i would be happier to know that someone purchased my art because they love my work, as I know many do. I started doing copper sculptures in 2013 . My sculptures are in galleries in Far North Queensland i and also sell my work at a local market. I have had no formal training in working with copper. I utilize salvaged old recycled copper and i like the challenge of creating something realistic. If i want to create art I just have to do it, I cannot always explain how/why i create my work. Ï must breath for life to continue in my body, and I have to create to live my life my way.
