Anatolia, The cradle of civilizations that has hosted many civilizations, continues to inspire today's art and artists with its thousands of years of history. Pottery, which has been going on for thousands of years in Anatolia, is evolving, classical arts winking at modern arts. The emergence of this concept in the synthesis gives rise to the understanding of evolution as well as the revolution. Synthesis is an effort to adapt Classical Iznik ceramics to the world ceramics of the 21st century. It is the first stage of the journey of merging the accumulations from our roots with Anatolian culture and rituals and integrating with the world. I feel like part of my culture and part of my country, which gave me a language, my body, my eyes and my soul. We are one. We always look up. People were born to look up. Where’s eternal sun makes its endless run. Our star was long before us and will shine when all of us are gone. I clutch the pliable clay in my hands and think about what I will make of it. Elegant vase? Or a simple dish? It does not matter. I want to put the warmth of my soul and the mastery of my hands to my works of art. I want to put a piece of my little sun burning in my chest into every object that I create. I am not such an endless sun as the star that shines above us. But I want to give light and warmth through my works. For as long as I can. ARZU ARSLAN
