Super Nova Sculpture

Here too, it is a matter of showing respect. These works are an expression of gratitude to Mother Nature, the earth being my religion, she has a sacred power for me. When I found the root I used to create "Super Nova", it was on the bank of a river in Costa Rica that had ripped it from the shore during Hurricane Otto. I was so moved and fascinated to see this "big body" uprooted that I immediately decided to make it a work of art. It took me almost a year of work to clean it, treat it, put the gold leaves on it and make the thousands of glass beads. “Super Nova” is an earthly being that calls for respect.
