About The Artwork
Using reclaimed materials and driftwood from the Fraser river, BC, Canada, I make minimal sculptures that infuse natural elements. The reclaimed wire is shaped by hand and formed to allow the viewer to picture the thoughts and features of the subject and to emphasizes the essence and feel of the subject. The wood is lightly sanded and given a light coat of oil and still has tarnish and character from its journey down the river. Once in place, this one of a kind sculpture will form a beautiful talking piece and create shadows that breath even more life into the piece. I have made these thought provoking pieces for many years and they are enjoyed in all corners of the globe. Art and imperfections are fused together and these pieces will tarnish and change over time, giving them continued new life.
