About The Artwork
Swamp Duck is part of the prototypical design for "Lawn Swimmers", an assembly of sculptures which were planned to be installed in an enlarged version in a garden, on a lawn or a meadow, but never realized. Swamp Duck is a mixture of a rubber ducky and the feared "Swamp Thing". These designs were inspired by the ceramics of Lucio Fontana. They are ready to be exposed an a shelf or in a showcase and should now be renamed "Shelf-Swimmers".
