My cork series is a statement of my Portuguese origins. It's a coming back to nature, to raw, to minimalism, to simplicity,... This relief wall scupture is done by hand with multiple layers of cork chunks, binded together with white glue. You will receive it "ready to hang", with a hook on the back It is signed on the back and includes a Certificate of Authenticity. My cork art pieces are eco-friendly and aim to support the cause of global sustainability: Cork is a 100% natural raw material, that is 100% reusable and 100% recyclable, extracted from cork oaks without harming the normal development of the species and without damaging the tree. The extracted cork is 100% harnessed. The production of cork does not destroy trees. After harvesting, the cork oak undergoes a process of self-regeneration not seen in any another species.
