De-confinement. There is a whole world outside. Are you ready for it? Many of us have been in isolation alone. Some of us have retreated in a room alone with not much interaction with another human being. We reminiscent on past memories; we idealize past situations, places and events. The events of COVID-19 and our isolation could result in anxiety and agoraphobia. What is going on outside our window? The view from the artist studio window peeks through buildings, terraces, balconies that were all empty during confinement. She imagined the people who didn't come in contact with other human beings. This piece has been created during the pandemic and her time alone in the studio. The materials used were collected through what was available in the studio, uncommon materials, found objects, not your typical art supplies: Ceramic acrylic and resin on corrugated cardboard. 3D wall sculpture. Recommended framing in a shadow box, available upon request. Ships with Certificate of Authenticity.

“Now that’s what I call art!” — Master Photographer Roy DeCarava, National Medal of Arts 2006, describing Tina Psoinos’s work. Multidisciplinary Artist and Fine Art Photographer Tina Psoinos’s extensive body of work showcases an alternative view of the world she sees, one that blurs the borders of reality and imagination. Intrigued by the ephemeral, ever-changing nature of the street art scene, Psoinos creates urban inspired art using mixed traditional and street art techniques with street art aesthetics while sneaking in personal references. Her portfolio includes a number of ongoing series that range from minimal to very complex imagery. Works explore female rights, empowerment and equality through pop culture, as well as love through social media. Drawing on powerful imagery, she uses these concepts to also create and develop inspired site-specific installations. Based in NYC, Psoinos has won numerous awards for her artistry and is currently shortlisted at EMST The National Museum of Contemporary Art in Athens Greece for her Empty Pro(e)mises proposal. Her work is in private and public collections around the world.
