About The Artwork

Do we exist? Or are we living? The reason I'm handling such a vast theme which cannot be resolved no matter how much one tries, is because eventually I want to acknowledge that at the end of those two subjects is the fact that, "we disappear." Even in moments when we believe we are "living," we may in fact be "existing." "To exist" refers to a passive life. A life that operates according to external will. By expanding the territory outside of "me" little by little, what follows is community - society and its culture. Ultimately we arrive at the center, which is none other than the Earth, along with the vast system called space. Could a single existence actually live all by itself apart from everything else? This may be scientifically, rationally, theoretically and literally something impossible. Yet why do we want to "live" and why can't we acknowledge that we are "existing"? Ultimately, it dawns on me that this is because it's the ideal, goal and dream of the existence, mankind, and the artist. The ideas in our consciousness are no other than image. However, this doesn't mean that this is a negative viewpoint, hence let's not be pessimistic. As long as such a thing as 'thought' exists, in order to realize this, I believe that living a satisfied life would be along the lines of truly "living." Therefore, it also signifies that we must acknowledge both realities of "existing" and "living."
