The artwork consists of found technical wooden objects, iron bar, steel and bearing. Industrial hand-made objects have a special lyrical and memorial essence that can shrink, can become akin to a person, can reveal themselves more fully as other properties fade into the background, depreciate and become obsolete. The transformed objects begin to narrate, balancing between sacredness and a new functional characteristic. The upper part of the sculpture revolves around the structural base.

Ukraine
Vasya Dmytryk ( b. 1991, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine) graduated from the Grekova Art School in Odesa in 2016. He works mostly with sculpture and installations. Member of the SRZ-2 community. In his artistic practice, Dmytryk often explores industrial systems and their interaction with the natural environment, where new coordinated connections are created between them. His pieces refer to figurative traditions across a range of cultures and historical periods. Dmytryk creates sculptures primarily out of wood, metal, composites, and found objects. Lives and works in Odesa, Ukraine. Participant in Ukrainian exhibitions and residencies. His works are in private collections in the USA, Great Britain, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, as well as in the collection of the Odessa National Art Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Odessa. When I work with a material, I explore its sensory and symbolic nature. Each material has its own specific language, and working by hand reveals it. I follow the language of wood, metal or styrofoam, and I bring new words to this process, creating a new dictionary. I am interested in the search for primary foundations, the search for realness at the stage of its birth. By using discarded and recycled materials to reveal these foundations, I repair our relationship to the primitive vitality of the world.
