Triangle Instrument of Light is the first studio edition to feature Elastic Light®, a new medium composing a visual and tactile experiential sculpture that enables viewers to play light as an instrument. Light is a mysterious phenomena that has yet to be tangible, interactive or containable...until now. Working on this new technology for ten years, Zimmerman Studio developed Elastic Light® in 2016. Always considering the haptic and spatial experience of equal importance to visual design, Jasmine has forged the path for light to become an interrelated visual and physical interaction. Viewers become users and can bend, stretch and compress beams of light with their hands. Evoking wonder and creativity, Triangle Instrument of Light is eight feet tall and comes with a custom wooden base at the dimensions of 103" long by 7.5" wide. Fabricated by hand in Seattle, WA.
