Tryst Sculpture

I was born in Philadelphia, Pa., and was smitten with creating sculpture in clay while I was training in the medical field as a lab technician. After 10 years of working with clay I was introduced to stone carving and fell in love with the material. Eventually I went to Italy and carved marble near the quarries of Michaelangelo. My present residence is in Las Vegas where the mountains and desert life inspire me every day. My early influences were Jean Arp and Henry Moore. My work is an expression of my life's journey and the challenges that one incurs as they move through life and discover WHO they are. Stone holds the truth of all materials, a universal consciousness and a living medium. I have been creating stone sculpture for 40 years, have exhibited widely throughout the USA. Many of my sculptures are in both private and corporate collections such as USA Today, New Jersey Power and Light, Gannett Corp., Jersey Shore Medical Center. I created an award that was given annually by the National Foundation of Infectious Diseases. Of the close to 400 pieces I have created....90% have all sold. Also I have been teaching stone carving both on east and west coasts for 35 years and workshops on "Unblocking Creativity" based on Julia Cameron's book.
