ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This sculpture was originally carved in limestone in 2016 to celebrate 20 years as a sculptor and is the 20th example of this recurring theme. This is one of a colourful range of Marko's popular Hugging Couple sculpture series hand cast in solid Marble resin. There is a limited edition total of 30, each one being hand-cast and finished. The Claret version of this sculpture was recently exhibited at the Rome Art and Culture Biennale 2017-2018 at the Domiziano Stadium Museum in central Rome. Bronze resin versions of this sculpture can be found in collections in the UK and New York.
