Uncompromising Sculpture

1976 born in Maribor, Slovenia 1997-2000 studied at the University of Art and Industrial Design Linz, Austria, department of Sculptural Conceptions/ceramics. He graduated in year 2000 and entered the master's program contemporary ceramic and sculptural conceptions at the same University. In year 2003 he successfully completed his study. He trained his education at Plastic Arts department/Ceramic at Pusan National University, South Korea and in Nove, Italy. Between 2011 and 1023 he lived and worked in Itanbul. He writes texts for professional and scientific publications and catalogs. He organized and curated numerous exhibitions in Slovenia and abroad. He speaks Slovenian, German (fluently), English (fluently) Croatian/Serbian/Bosnian (fluently) He lives and works in Maribor. Academic career and work experiences In year 2000 he become assistant on Ceramic and Sculpture Department at Famul Stuart School of applied Arts, Ljubljana (University of Nova Gorica . In year 2004 he become a lecturer and head of Ceramic study and keep this position until academic year 2011/12. In year 2006,he start the collaboration with University of Ljubljana and start to works as external expert consultant at Academy of Fine Arts and Design Ljubljana, where he lecture ceramic and history of ceramic within the subject Design in Materials at department for Industrial Design. In the year 2008, he obtain from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design Ljubljana (University of Ljubljana) "recognition of the important works of art”, proceed the habilitation procedure and get the title of assistant professor (docent). In 2008, he participates in the preparation of a new study program Ceramic and Glass and he became co-founder of new department of unique design and ceramic/glass art at Academy of Art and Design, Ljubljana. Until academic year 2011/12 he is the head of ceramic study (contemporary ceramic, ceramic design and history of ceramic) at the same Academy of Art and Design.
