ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Augmented Tridiminished Icosahedron (Johnson solid j64) from the series VISIBLE VOID. This series is characterized by shape and void. Reflexions, shadows, see through, light, surrounding and angle of view constantly change the nature of the sculpture, thus creating new views and moods. COVID 19 NOTE: Due to limited packaging resources, larger sculptures and wall sculptures are currently not available. All other works will be packed as usual and dispatched immediately. Ten hand-formed, double-skin aluminium elements riveted with steel sleeves to an augmented tridiminished icosahedron. The inside of the hollow body is finished with magenta india ink, the outside is untreated. The natural oxidation layer of the aluminium makes the sculpture weather-restiant so that it can also be placed outdoors. The sculpture weighs ca. 7 kg - inclusive of an unvisibly placed base between the aluminim layers. The sculpture is dated and signed at the bottom.
