This sculpture is inspired by the elegance and fluidity of sailing vessels, particularly capturing the essence of a sailboat cutting through the water. The sleek design and the dynamic shape reflect my fascination with the sea and the graceful movements of sailboats. The inspiration comes from my deep connection with nautical themes and my admiration for the harmony between nature and human ingenuity. I hope viewers will feel a sense of serenity and awe when they see this sculpture. The fluid lines and smooth curves are meant to evoke the calming yet powerful presence of the ocean. I want them to appreciate the balance between strength and elegance, and to be reminded of the freedom and adventure associated with sailing. The piece is designed to be both visually striking and emotionally resonant, encouraging viewers to reflect on their own experiences with nature and movement. I chose to work with resin and stone for this sculpture because of the materials' ability to capture both smoothness and strength. Resin allows for a high degree of precision and a sleek, glossy finish that enhances the modern aesthetic of the piece. The stone base provides a natural contrast and grounding element, emphasizing the sculpture's connection to the earth. The subject matter of a sailboat aligns with my longstanding passion for nautical themes, and the modern, abstract style reflects my desire to create art that is both timeless and contemporary. The combination of these elements allows me to express my artistic vision and create a piece that is both aesthetically pleasing and deeply meaningful.

I am Roland DELSEMME, an artist born on July 21, 1985, in Saint-Raphaël. Raised by a mother who was an artist and a father who was a master sailmaker, I have always been immersed in a creative environment. I began my professional journey as a master sailmaker, specializing in rigging and splicing. This career allowed me to travel to various parts of the world, broadening my perspective on different artistic cultures. After years of working as a preparer of competitive yachts, where I designed and fabricated numerous technical parts using modern technologies such as 3D printing, composites, and parametric drawing, I returned to my hometown of Cogolin, France. It was here, with the arrival of my first daughter, that I decided to embark on a new venture and founded R3DCustom, a design and 3D printing company. My work with various artists and my artistic heritage led me to pursue my passion for creating my own art. My art is characterized by the fluidity and elegance of forms, drawing inspiration from natural movements and abstract concepts. Each piece is a unique exploration of materials, colors, and textures, aiming to transform spaces and touch lives
