"WAY OF THE SUN"
80х80x3,5cm
Bas-relief, chipboard, acrylic, gold enamel, wood carving.
In creating this work, I was inspired by Gothic calligraphy and medieval sacred art, reflecting the mystical worldview of the then seekers of truth.
Our planet has 4 directions of coordinates. The intersection of these directions forms a cross, symbolizing the need to make a choice in which direction to move on. A short time does not give us the opportunity to be in one place and pushes us towards endless movement.
The bas-relief has carved elements such as the sun and letters. These elements are deepened into the depths of the board and look very voluminous when exposed to light. The sun is painted with chrome gold enamel. The circle itself, which depicts the sun, is painted with less shiny gold enamel, which emphasizes the emphasis on the brilliant sun. The background of the main board is painted in a gradient and looks very impressive when light hits.
The work is ready for wall mounting and has two types of fixing. Metal loops for hanging by line from the ceiling (gallery mount) and a metal bracket in the center at the top for fastening to a screw screwed into the wall.
