Inspired heavily by Umberto Boccioni's Unique Forms of Continuity in Space, the work was heavily influenced by the Futurists. Their shared love of heighten curvilinear and biomorphic shapes encouraged a move towards accentuated aerodynamic forms.

Consciously working with 1inch tools thus creating marks of a similar width is designed to stimulate the desire to touch and physically interact with the pieces. The closeness of shape/size between that of the carved shapes and the size of human figures is intentional with a view to encourage interaction. Tactile materials and shapes can often be ignored as ergonomics which often forces the viewer to require and appreciate function over form. This alludes to the opposite. There is not ergonomic function as such, only the aesthetic beauty.
