About The Artwork
This is an interactive shadow and assemblage installation. The materials shown are cast from an LED spotlight. The 'cowboy face' that looks as if he is screaming actually blinks. This is caused simply with the light reflecting off the glass pane (in the assemblage) and into the shadow. As viewer's walk in front and out of the light this casues the cowboy to look as though it is actually blinking. Media: Valentino cotton sheets wrapped around pole, white painted cowboy hat, glass and LED spotlight casting shadow. H: 1 x L: 2 x W: 1.5 metres. Melbourne.
