Mira ceramic sculptures have a unique appearance. Created with many years of experience using varied techniques, particular favorites are Raku firing then submerging pieces into the waters of the Black sea. The water washes minerals such as copper and metal oxides into the basic white clay with which Mira works. Creating an abstract green-blue “blush” in her sculptures along with random elements that make every piece unique. The effect is to create objects that look fluid as waves. The distinctive appearance of Mira‘ ceramic sculpture comes from a technique called Raku firing. Raku generally refers to a type of low-firing process. Western-style raku usually involves removing pottery from the kiln while at bright red heat. Then placing it into containers with combustible materials. This produces an intense reduction atmosphere which affects the colors in glazes and clay bodies.

ART IS MY WAY TO SEE Architect, designer and artist, Mira develops her own distinct approach with a variety of media, experimental techniques and processes that reveal hidden perspectives. Her practice interprets personal experience of space, light, time, movement and communication. She seeks to represent beings and environment as an interconnected entity. At the same time she doesn’t paint recognizable forms. “When we name things, we stuck in their definition." "Life can be a hard stuff", Mira transforms it in her paintings, they radiate gratefulness and reflect the beauty of life: “my true passion now lies in creating art that evokes emotion and elevates and uplifts lives". Most of her works are painted in acrylic on canvas with several successive layers. Mira paintings have featured in exhibitions and publications in Bulgaria and France. When Mira was teenager she moved to live in France. She graduated in Fine Arts and is diplomated in Architecture. She worked as artist and architect in Normandie. Her origins, loving beings, the Black sea and it`s light made her еstablish to her home city, Varna in Bulgaria.
