ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I started making this hand because of a joke at work. After finishing the wrist, thumb and index finger, I thought it might hold a bottle of wine or something like that. I started working on that idea using my own hand and veins as an example. The sculpture is completely made out of 316 stainless steel scrap metal leftover from old projects. It weighs 7.2 kilograms and it has a mirror 8 high gloss polished finish. This is the second hand i made in the collection. It includes a complete portfolio of how it was made and designed. Also it will contain a bottle of local wine.
