Boris Ivanov(Reisberg) is a master of fine plastic.Without getting an art education,his natural ability meant that he had not had to be trained and therefore unable to creat work that is completely original, without restricting the influence of modernism and history,sculptor Boris Ivanov calls his teachers Italian genius of the Renaissance Donatello and French sculptor Auguste Rodin. Boris Ivanov is obliged to the classics of the world sculpture to the consistent development of all types of images of the artistic image. Works of great masters helped to learn the basic laws of three-dimensional image of the image and the principles of compositional structure in the sculpture. Boris Ivanov mastered practical skills on his own, later studied in the restoration workshop of St. Petersburg. The sculptor works with different materials: bog oak, amber, granite, semi-precious stones. Ivanov created a unique series of 82 figures of theatrical characters of the Italian Comedy from the prints of Jacques Callot,and subsequently presented at a personal exhibition in 2015 in the Mikkel Museum on the territory of Kadriorg Palace-Museum,where the residence of the President of Estonia(Tallinn), in a place with original engravings by Jacques Callot. Since 2011, the sculptor has been actively engaged in contemporary art,trying himself in different directions.His painting was created under the influence of personal observations in his surroundings(whether it be street,houses,people, etc.).Boriss Ivanov free artist-sculptor. Boris Ivanov's works are in private collections in the USA,India,England,Germany, Canada and other countries.Also in the Narva Museum (Estonia).
