Wraith House No.2 Sculpture

In the last couple of years I've been working on a series of 'house' pieces. Don't ask me whether theyn are paintings or sculptures. I made 'em but I don't want to address the issue of what they are. I've worked a lot with the idea of transparency and translucency but I wanted to make something that was black or at least dark and yet see through or semi-see-through. I wanted to express the difficulty of capturing memories of, say, a person who has passed away so that their aspect is present but hard to grasp. We have a memory of a person but we can't really 'see' them in our mind's eye, there is no graspable image. So I wanted an enclosure that could contain but not reveal what's inside. We'd have the sensation of it being transparent but unknowable.
