Xiong Ying Sculpture

Recycled bottle cap (stitched with yarn to sub-frame) placed in front of glass sheet within metal frame. Behind the glass my Tor Ammo signature, my official signature, the date and title, my left thumb imprint, and an anti forgery stamp. The bottle cap represents the circle of life, and shows a bear head and an eagle head, intertwined in a yin yang symbol way. I gave this sculpture the title Xiong (Bear) Ying (Eagle), because the chinese martial art of Xing Yi has a fight strategy that combines the ‘Animals’ Bear (standing) and Eagle (swooping). The bear represents Yin, whilst the Eagle is Yang. This sculpture can stand on a surface, or hang on the wall. The measurements include the frame, which is an integral part of this object d’art.
