About The Artwork
The Buffalo is probably one of the most earthbound creatures on our planet. It is this sense of enduring gravity that I have tried to visualize in this sculpture. The special - even secret - patina is created during the actual casting of the bronze. Each cast has it's own patina; so the patina of cast number three differs from the one on the foto. With these patina's the sculpture gives the impression lof being an artifact from an archeological site. The Buffalo in the picture is number 2 in a series of seven castings.
