Recently my research reveiles itself in organic sculptures representing big leafs and treats the theme of the Cycle of life; plants like men are living beings, as such they are born, they feed, ,grow, mature, riproduce themselves and – die. Making sculpture for me is a way of contrasting busy life , remaining attached to an ancient state of mind, telling a timeless poetry in everlasting stone

Verena Mayer Tasch uses symbolic fragments which origin in a very personal and intimate experience, evoking emotions and feelins which she transforms into sculptural images using a universal and essential formal language. Her artistic research addresses the theme of the various cycles of life and examines the quest ion of circularity implicit in nature and human history. With the help of minimalist objects such as toys (spinning tops, pinwheels, small boats, butterflies, origami folds), she deals with the th eme of happiness as a state of wholeness belonging to the age of childhood, inviting to reclaim this collective memory for a better living of the present.
