The porcelain bon is part of my series called "novae nativitates". The thought of giving life after death and completing the life cycle was quite poetic.
The original cattle bone was used to create a negativ form with plaster in order to make a slip cast with hard porcelain. The piece was fired first to 950 c, the final firing to 1250 c and the 24 Karat Gold application in a third firing at 800 c.
