About The Artwork

The power of the market demand and the need by the industry to continually satisfy it, is highlighted by a work titled "meat fate" which portrays a metallic chicken placed in its usual tray ready for consumption, with a Campbell Soup can placed in its hollowed intestines. The soup can is only identified wholly when the work is x-rayed, which once again suggests the hidden structures the industry manipulates to shape and construct its much cherished product characteristics. The chicken is shaped by and for the industry, through the shape of the invisible can.
