Diego Mendonça, was born in 1982, in São João del Rei/MG. Lawyer who left his profession to dedicate himself to the arts, his great passion, is currently studying for a master's degree in Arts at the Federal University of São João del Rei. He was a student of the great painter Quaglia and is currently a disciple of Yara Tupynambá. The artist has already been awarded prizes in several art exhibitions. Among the awards, he received Gold at the European Latin American Biennial of Contemporary Art, at the Centro Cultural dos Correios – Rio de Janeiro, which was promoted by AVA Galerie – from Finland. Also Gold at the 42nd Salon Premier of International Association of Artists, held in Portugal, in June this year; Bronze Medal in the Triathlon of Arts of the Principality of Liechtenstein, Bronze in the popular vote at the Contemporary Art Salon held at the Carrousel Du Louvre Museum in October 2015, among others with gold, silver, bronze medals and Special Jury Mention. With several individual and collective exhibitions, he has exhibited his work at the UN headquarters (United Nations) and at the Brazilian Consulate in New York and also in Hight Point (USA). Participated in the VII Biennial of Small Formats in Moita (Portugal). His works were exhibited at the Salon International d'Art Contemporain at the Carrousel Du Louvre in Paris (France), at Galerie Koko in Vienna (Austria), in Figueira da Foz and Cidade do Porto (Portugal), Miami (USA), Vaduz (Principado of Liechtenstein), Florence (Italy), Osaka (Japan), Rome (Italy), in addition to several Brazilian capitals such as Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Recife, Belém and Brasília.
