About The Artwork

After a brief mission in china (1905) Theophilus Cain set out to find the best wood for sculpture making. He decided that mahogany had the properties needed. He traveled through most of Europe to find the best before he settled in the Caribbean due to their rich soil and fertile land. This is when he came across plantations which had the trees he needed. This piece was created from an estimated 301 year old tree and has been passed down through his family line until today. Maria Rosiff Exclusive has been the connector for buyers who wish to own piece of this rich legacy. Please contact us @ mariarosiff@gmail.com for more information
