When I paint, I feel a connection to something greater than myself. Everything flows so easily and ideas come to me. As I look at one of my finished paintings, I realize that I was guided by a higher force and that I am just a willing instrument.

Originally from Panama, I moved to New Orleans, Louisiana almost 25 years ago. During this time I decided to pursue my lifelong dream of painting (After a successful career as an Industrial Engineer and later becoming a stay-at-home mom). Becoming an artist breathed a new life into me. More so, I found purpose beyond being a mother and wife.

I believe in following my heart, so inspiring women to do the same by embracing who they really are is what drives me to do what I love. The paintings of contemporary flowers in my "La Flor 250 Series" represent every woman's unique and beautiful rebirth that can be experienced once we decide to follow our own path.
