Mayette Quias

Ayen Quias is a freelance Visual Artist from Las Pinas, Philippines. A self proclaimed “jack of all trades” studied Architecture amongst other things before earning a BS in Biology finally conceding to her love of art. She is a fulltime artist, fulltime business woman and a fulltime mother of two children. She loves to create, to design and to paint.
Finding inspiration from world-renowned painter Pablo Picasso and Gustav Klimt, Artist Ayen Quias has created her own line of figurative abstract works in her series “The Alters”. The distorted figures of ladies are a representation of the hidden qualities of her character, that behind her strong personality is a soft and very sensitive lady unknown to many. A clearer understanding of her in an abstract form but none of it was intentional-it all developed and evolved over time. She has found inspiration and even solace in the fact that we maintain a steady course of change and growth.
