Ondrej Balak

I was born in 1991 in the Czech Republic and live in Brno.I’ve been painting and sketching since my childhood. But classic painting wasn’t tempting for me. A few years ago I tried to change designer’s markers to brushes and paints and after several horrible experiments, it caught me. My father used to take me with him to car racings. He knew a lot of famous drivers from CSR personally, so I think that was the first big influence. In 2014 I decided to return completely to his art production and connect my lifelong hobbies – motorsport and art. The main topic of my production is the Masaryk Circuit and its history. The introduction of my work took place at the exhibition Classic Show 2015 in Brno.

I was graduated from Art school in Ostrava, in the Industrial Design Program. I focused on custom design during his studies. I presdented my design work on several exhibitions and he was awarded a scholarship on IED Torino University in Italy and Lawernce Technological University in Detroit. After my school leaving exams I started on VŠB – TU in Ostrava, where I was working as a construction – designer of electromobiles in Researsh and Development Department
