Anna Tihanyi

Anna Tihanyi (Hungary, b. 1979) is an award winning fine art photographer staging cinematic scenes to tell compelling visual narratives. She is interested in psychological storytelling, exploring the female self and identity through processing memories.
Anna’s work features in the permanent installation for the Youth Olympic Village in Innsbruck, Austria. In 2020, Aesthetica Magazine cited her as an influential female photographer of note. Six times recipient of the Hungarian Photography Prize, she has received several prestigious photography awards including Lucie Awards (2014), Julia Margaret Cameron Award (2015), Critical Mass Top 50 (2016), LensCulture (2016), Fine Art Photography Award (2017) and been featured in numerous solo and group exhibition nationally and internationally.
Currently working on her next projects in Budapest, she is a member of the Budapest Art Factory non-profit artistic collective.
