Bradley Owen is a Canadian of prairie stock but grew up on the West Coast, where he graduated with degrees in philosophy and metaphysics from Vancouver’s Simon Fraser University. After a spell as a political speechwriter, a wanderlust took Brad to Europe. During sojourns in the Greek islands, Belgium, Luxembourg and England, he developed a rare artistic talent that explores figurative, sensual and often playful forms in oil on canvas. His atelier is in the old port of Chania in Crete.
For more than two decades, Brad’s work has been shown by the Gagliardi Galley in the Chelsea district of London. He has been elected to the Anglo-Italian Academy of Art and his paintings form part of the permanent collection of Tuscany’s Museo d’Arte di Chianciano Terme. Private collectors throughout Europe and North America hold Brad’s works. They are available in their original form but also occasionally as prints and limited editions.
