Camila Avelar

Camila Barroso Avelar, a Brazilian artist born in Minas Gerais. Resident artist at PB Arts Gallery. Currently living in São Paulo, the biggest metropole in the country, the city is the beating heart of art.

Using different materials as acrylic paint, spray, pastel,stencil, among others. Seeks inspiration in the abstract expressionism, action painting, in the irreverent street art, and in the works of young artists in a diversity of fields.

Her work, as herself, presents to the world in a spontaneous way, never still, always on the move. Impermanent, ephemeral, fragile, explosive, impulsive, passionate, exploring the impact of the vibrant and synthetic colors like neon. She seems to reassure and to invite the spectator in every painting, their right and freedom to just be, without the commitment to remain the same or to stay.
