Carola Van Benthum

Carola van Benthum was born in The Netherlands. From an early age, Carola van Benthum has been drawing and painting. She learned the old oil painting technique and then started experimenting with different techniques and their possibilities. Portrait painting has her preference; although the human forms also inspire her. The eye is drawn to her work by the use of color and her idiosyncrasy. "It is the art of omission, which makes a painting exciting and interesting for me."

Carola van Benthum not only creates art but she`s also a Dutch Fashion designer and owns her own store located in Boxmeer. She combines her art with fashion.
