Barbadian Cher-Antoinette is a multi-faceted self-taught artist. She has received many National Awards for her art, writing and photography and continues to create in her unique but varied style.
“At the beginning I tried to emulate or even imitate what some of my mentors were producing, especially in relation to Barbadiana. After a while I realized that being an artist was speaking your truth and having the words translate to images on your canvas, or for me more my acetates. My work highlights the Synergy of Life and Art.”
An emerging artist, Cher has gotten much attention since the launch of C-Toi Wearable Art, a bespoke jewellery line that showcases her acrylic fluid and alcohol ink art. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and brings art to the average person in an affordable format. The pieces are also enhanced with healing crystals such as amethyst, rose quartz, tiger eye, hematite and black onyx.

I am a Scientist by profession having received my BSC in Chemistry from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados in 1980.
I became the first Forensic Scientist on my island in 1989 when I gained a Masters in Forensic Science from King's College University of London.

My Artistic journey started in earnest in 2014 and I have been explored many different media since that time.

I am a writer and poet as well and have received many national awards in literary and the fine arts.
