Christian Schmidt

Christian Schmidt is a photographer and image-maker with passion for the Simple, the Graphic and the Atmospheric. For more than 15 years he is working in both worlds - Art and Commerce. His work has been exhibited and awarded at many national and international photography awards like the AOP Awards in London, the ADC in Berlin and New York, the BFF in Germany or Communication Arts in the US to name a few.

Born and raised in Göttingen, Germany Christian learned photography from the bottom up. After finishing school and working for student magazines when he was a teenager, transforming his mothers garage into a photolab, Christian did a classical craft education in a photostudio in Stuttgart. After finsihing and several years of assisting other commissioned photographers Christian started building a name with his atmospheric, graphical and reduced sceneries. He got signed by national and international agents and got commissioned to work for commercial clients like Audi, Siemens, Toyota or Telekom. Today Christian is known for his sensitive feeling for atmospheres and moods - beside his commissioned work his work is present in several private art collections. He works and lifes with his family in Esslingen.
