Claudine Carmel is an artist and award-winning children’s author; receiving two Kirkus Stars as well as being named to 'Kirkus Reviews' best books' of the year for 2014 and 2015. After studying film production and screenwriting for over a decade, her writing spans many genres and formats, including children's books, novels and screenplays. She has painted her whole life, creating vibrant and joyful artworks including book illustrations, seascapes, pet portraits, impressionist skies and multi-layered resin art. Her main focus is to draw the viewer into colorful, peaceful worlds and transfer the ethereal quality of light along with the feeling of a location onto canvas. Claudine grew up in a seaside town on the south coast of England and currently lives on an Island in the Pacific Northwest.
