Collins Matovu

A self-taught contemporary impressionist born with a diverse & multi-cultural loving personality which drives his ability to study and express it through painting.
With limited detail to subject matter, his work in oil, acrylic and watercolor is original and powerful, depicting scenes around him. He creative usage of materials allows him to experiment emotes in his paintings.
Collins aim as an artist is simply to paint the best paintings he can and also finds that his artistic eye inspires him most of all to use color, light and form, in ways that celebrate the beauty of the seemingly commonplaces.
Collins has exhibited in a few place in Europe like Germany and Finland in a fundraising programs between 2010 -2011 (.0.html)
Among the artists whose work Collins admires the most are Rembrandt and Turner because of the vividness of their applications depth and color variations.
