Ruth Weizel

Everything I create starts with a line drawn on a page, a canvas, a piece of wood. All objects, people, landscapes, abstract figures are inspired of inner atmospheres, ideas, thoughts and feelings.
My art ist process driven. My work is generated in response to the materials, colours and lines that occur together with the techniques and processes that I have developed. I like challenges and to explore new methods of working, as the potential chaos of the unknown during the creative process of painting abstraction.
I use arylic and oil paint, and a variety of media such as natural pigments, ink, graphite, oil stick and charcoal in my work.
