Dave Johnson

I have been working for 3 years on a series of abstract aerials, inspired by liquid chemical sites. I work on horizontally placed canvasses with high liquid acrylics and enamels, to replicate conditions in the natural environment. I further encourage movement of paint using air pressure creating localised currents, whirlpools and streams of flow. After around three weeks drying time, I work further into the pieces to form structured 'man made' counterpoints. The featured painting is the first in a series that I will post once completed.
