Defective Barbie

In this series Inner Worlds each portrait contains a universe to symbolize inner self. In the swirls of color & texture perception takes on the form of brushstroke to obscure the eyes & deface individuality, disrupting ideas of accuracy, & perfection. Labels & stereotypes are replaced with color, expression & abstraction. They are inner selves that can’t be seen, displayed inside-out.
