About WANG Jing

Photographer specialised in expressionist black and white photography and gelatine silver printing.

Very influenced by the German expressionist painters and post war Japanese photographers, I work on black and white in a expressionist and experimental way, aiming to fully express the deepest lost feelings of man in the contemporary age.

Once a journalist and a writer, I now actively shoot the cityscape in China, while also teaching advanced darkroom technics to the younger generation.

All prints are done by me through traditional darkroom manipulation technics on Ilford Fiber Based paper. I wash all my prints with greatest care and guaranty archival washing quality.

All prints are fixed in two sizes: 12x16 inches, and 20x24 inches.

12x16 inches limited to 7 editions, priced at 900 USD.
20x24 inches limited to 5 editions, priced at 3000 USD.

You will get a print dated, signed, numerated, along with proof of authenticity signed by me.

The digital file you see in Saatchi Art doesn't match the quality of the original print, due to the lack of subtlety in tonal gradations on the print...
