Dominic Moore

In his paintings of people and wildlife—in natural, urban and domestic scenes—Moore merges realism and fantasy in a style explored as impressionistic realism. Moore has been perfecting his work in oils. His compositions adopt a mysterious, cast and they are often centred upon an expressive figure, mostly wandering, wrapped in thought. But sometimes posed and looking directly out at viewers. Moore also applies the same style into wildlife where the textures and abstractions capture expression and feel of the hyperrealistic animal.
